Wed, 03/10/2010 - 7:00pm

A Norwich Bookstore event to be held at the Marion Cross School

This stunning and lyrical Civil War novel by Howard Frank Mosher is a story of brotherhood and survival, action and adventure. While searching for his lost brother, the protagonist encounters a fantastical array of characters, including a weeping elephant, a pacifist gunsmith, a woman who lives in a tree, a blind cobbler, and a beautiful and intriguing slave girl. At the same time, he wrestles with the choices that will ultimately define him: how to reconcile the laws of nature with religious faith and how to temper justice with mercy.

(This event will be held in the multi-purpose room to accommodate the author’s slide presentation. Reservations are recommended.)
